Chart update

In the UK Charts, the singles chart includes Coldplay’s Violet Hill entered at 8 and Pigeon Detectives’ This Is An Emergency at 24. Techno band Scooter are no. 1 in the album charts with Jumping All Over The World, Def Leppard is at no. 10 with Songs from the Sparkle Lounge, Hadouken! is at 12 with Music for an Accelerated Culture, and at 26 is Delays with Everything’s the Rush.

UK chart round-up

Madonna went in no. 1 on both the singles and albums chart with her single4 Minutes and album Hard Candy. Other new entries include Portishead - Third at no. 2 on the album chart, Rick Astley’s The Ultimate Collection at number 17 and The Fall’s 27th album Imperial Wax Solvent at 35.
